The TATE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Wednesday September 30, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Bethel-Tate Fire Department located at 149 N East St Bethel, OH 45106.
The purpose of such a hearing is to consider Zoning Case 1905SB, an application for a CONDITIONAL USE HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT, requested by the Applicant Jeremy Trester owner and resident of 2350 State Route 133 Bethel, OH 45106, Clermont County P.I.N. 323008C026 consisting of 11 Acres in an Agricultural “A” District. The Applicant requests said permit pursuant to Article VI Section 1(B)(10) of the Tate Township Zoning Resolution for the purpose of establishing a licensed automobile dealership operation from an accessory building on his property.
Interested parties are invited to attend and voice their opinion regarding this matter. The application and materials to this matter will be available for public review on or after September 13, 2025, at the Tate Township Zoning Department located at 146 N East St Bethel, OH 45106 during normal business hours. The Tate Township Zoning Commission will hold a SPECIAL MEETING September 22, 2025, 6:30 PM at the Bethel-Tate Fire Department located at 149 N East St Bethel, OH 45106.
The purpose of this SPECIAL MEETING is to host a joint working group session together with representatives from the Board of Trustees and the Board of Zoning Appeals. The joint working group will be reviewing and discussing updated drafts of zoning resolution language prepared by McBride Dale Clarion (MDC), the Township’s Planning and Zoning Consultant, related to Agricultural and Residential zoning districts, uses, and issues. These, and future discussions, will be used to aid MDC, in continuing to revise drafts of proposed updates and revisions to the Tate Township Zoning Resolution. No formal action will be taken at this meeting, and none of the language discussed is final.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

Phase 2 Land Use Survey Available Now!
Five focus areas were identified as areas where future development could take place. Give us your feedback on what types of uses should be permitted and what it should look like. Tell us your ideas for the future land use map!

Bethel. Burkefest is a family event sponsored by the Village of Bethel. There will be music, vendors, food trucks, cake decorating contest, and kids activites starting at 3:00pm. In addition, there will be a petting zoo, kickball tournament, and the Kenny Welch Band!All events are free to attend and fun is optional!!
Piper’s Pantry is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide pet food to families in Clermont County struggling to feed their pet. Report from Ohio Department Of Transportation as of August 22, 2025–
East Fork State Park Resurfacing – On Reisinger Road in East Fork State Park. Reisinger Road is closed between Perimeter Trail and the boat ramp at the end of the road through September 4. As Reisinger Road is a dead-end road, there will be no detour.
S.R. 222 Culvert Replacement – A culvert replacement project on S.R. 222 at its junction with S.R. 133. S.R. 222 will be closed Tuesday through Thursday, August 26-28, and while it is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. 52 and S.R. 133.
S.R. 222 Culvert Replacement – A culvert replacement project on S.R. 222 at the 10.94-mile marker, just north of Bethel Hygiene Road. S.R. 222 will be closed September 9-11, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 743, S.R. 756 and S.R. 232.
S.R. 232 Culvert Replacement – A culvert replacement project on S.R. 232 at the 1.06-mile marker, between Dry Run Road and S.R. 756. S.R. 232 will be closed September 15 and 16, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 756, S.R. 743 and U.S. 52.
S.R. 232 Culvert Replacement – A culvert replacement project on S.R. 232 at the 1.10-mile marker, between Dry Run Road and S.R. 756. S.R. 232 will be closed September 17-19, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 756, S.R. 743 and U.S. 52.

The PUBLIC HEARING by the TATE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS originally scheduled for Tuesday August 19, 2025, at 7:00 PM has been CANCELLED.
At this time the variance request has been terminated. Further action by the Board of Trustees of Tate Township and the Tate Township Zoning Commission will be initiated in the very near future.
