The Tate Township Annual Clean-up days were held in April with extra help from the Roads & Maintenance department, Deputy Eric Pike, Trustee Gary Reed, Zoning Inspector George Eckert and the workers from Clermont County Municipal Court.
In early September, the Tate Township Maintenance crew got assistance from the Bethel-Tate Fire Department ladder truck. The twin-trunk oak tree, located in the Tate Township Cemetery was cracked down the center and needed to be removed. For pictures, go to the Roads & Maintenance page.
The Tate Township Road Maintenance will need to temporarily close Sugartree Road between State Route 125 and Sprague Road this Friday, September 8th due to a culvert replacement.
Please keep in mind that due to safety concerns for our mowing crews, all shepherd hooks and hanging ornaments as of January 1st, 2017 had to be removed from the cemetery. The section of State Route 125 between Spring Grove Rd and Oak Corner Rd. is scheduled to close for 19 days starting sometime after 7/4/17. More exact information will be posted when we receive it. For updates and further detour information go to the ODOT web page. Clermont County is in District 8.
Free tire drop-off during the clean-up days was met with enthusiasm. Tate Township was the recipient of a grant so that residents would not have a fee this year for dropping off their used tires.
After 2 full days with lines of trucks and trailers hauling unwanted items to the Tate Maintenance yard, at least 8 dumpsters were filled and 9 trash compactor trucks totaling 108 tons were hauled away.
