Special Meeting of Trustees & Zoning Boards 2/18/25 7:00 PM
The Tate Township Trustees will hold a joint Special Meeting together with the Zoning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 at the Bethel-Tate Fire Department located at 149 N East St Bethel, OH 45106. The purpose of this joint meeting is to discuss the forthcoming Comprehensive Land Use Plan and subsequent modifications to the Zoning Resolution.
Tate Township 2025 Clean-Up Dates
The 2025 clean-up dates for Tate Township residents will be held on Friday, JULY 11, 2025 & Saturday, JULY 12, 2025. Items may be dropped off from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm by Tate residents only. IDs will be checked for verification.
There are a few prohibited items including yard waste and liquid paint. Mattresses MUST be covered in plastic. There will be a fee for each tire based on the size. Fees will be collected at time of drop off and need to be in cash.

Trustee Special Meeting 2/11/2025 6:00 PM
The Tate Township Trustees will hold a special meeting at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 at the Bethel-Tate Fire Department located at 149 N East St Bethel, OH 45106. The purpose of the meeting is to interview candidates for the open seat on the Board of Zoning Appeals. The Regular meeting will proceed thereafter at 7:00 PM.

We were fortunate to receive a kick-off presentation by Andy Juengling from McBride, Dale, Clarion. MDC is the planning consultant firm that has been engaged to complete Tate Township’s first ever Comprehensive Land Use & Development Plan, and the subsequent updating and modernization of our Zoning Resolution.

I look forward to hearing Tate Township’s feedback in the forthcoming surveys and public forums, and getting a better view of the vision for the future of our home community! Tate Twp Meeting for Anniversary Planning
The Tate Township Trustees will be hosting a meeting with representatives from the Bethel Village Council, the American Legion, the Bethel Historical Society, the Bethel Ministerial Association and Bethel-Tate Schools to discuss plans for the birthday celebration of Tate Township. The meeting will be held on February 4, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Bethel-Tate Fire House.

Notice is hereby given that the TATE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Zoning Case 1794SB, an Application for an Amendment to the Tate Township Zoning Map, submitted by Axel Enterprises 4026 Bach Buxton Rd Batavia, OH 45103. The proposed Amendment is to REZONE Parcel ID 323016A055 consisting of 11.523 Acres owned by Gary Reed & Kathleen A. Gregory from “A” to “C-3”. The PUBLIC HEARING will be held Jan 29th,2025 at 7:00 PM, with the Application being made available for public viewing on Jan 18th,2025 by 8:30 AM, at the Tate Township Fire Department 149 N. East St. Bethel, Ohio 45106.

Bethel Museum Hosts Wood Carvers Show
The Bethel Museum, located at 235 W Plane Street in the Grant Memorial Building, will be closed on Saturday, Jan 18th due to the weather and frigid temperatures. Regular museum hours are 1PM to 4PM on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month
The museum will be open again on Saturday, Feb. 1st from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a special display of Wood Carvers. Admission is always free. The Wood Carvers Show will showcase the talents of many local and talented wood carvers. There will be various wood carved works of art including Jewelry Boxes, Bowls, Caricatures, Wildlife, and More.

Trustee Special Meeting 01/10/2025 5:00 PM
The Tate Township Trustees will hold a special meeting at 5:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Bethel-Tate Firehouse. The purpose of the meeting is to SCHEDULE the public hearing on Zoning Amendment Case 1794SB, a request to rezone 11.532 Acres on State Route 125 west of Burke Rd. This special meeting is necessary so that notification deadlines can be reached as required by ORC Section 519.12. This meeting IS NOT to hear the recommendation of the Zoning Commission, or to take any formal action other than SCHEDULING THE PUBLIC HEARING.

The Tate Township Trustees will hold a special meeting at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Bethel-Tate Firehouse. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the method of compensation for the trustees and fiscal officer and to address and discuss any matters of concern.
