
Clermont County wants to get the word out to residents about the Home Assistance Programs. The Board of County Commissioners executed a contract in 2023 to award $200,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for critical home repairs in Clermont County.
The attached flyer lists multiple Home Assistance Programs along with the agencies that are providing the service. Some of the different programs available include Home Repair, Weatherization, and Septic Rehabilitation. Funded by the Clermont County Board of Commissioners through federal and state grants, the programs are available to assist low- to moderate-income homeowners, with some programs specifically targeted to help seniors remain in their homes.

The solar eclipse, on April 8th, will be visible across the 124 mile band that crosses to the west and north side of Cincinnati. This is the first time in 200 years that that the eclipse’s path is in our area. According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the people in Greater Cincinnati will experience a partial totality (99.7% obscuration) at 3:09pm that day. Those of us in Clermont County will need to travel North or West to see the total eclipse.

Representatives from historical societies, the tourism industry, business, schools and communities have begun planning for America’s 250th birthday in Clermont County in 2026.
The Board of County Commissioners last year passed a resolution, leading to the county’s designation as an AM250-OH Community.
Jeff Blom, president of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Judi Adams, president of the Bethel Historical Society and Museum, have been designated as community liaisons with the state.

Director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation. Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced today that 15 additional training providers located across Ohio will receive a total of $6.2 million to offer education at no cost through Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP). The program creates the opportunity for Ohioans to earn technology-focused credentials at an approved provider for free.
IMAP was created to allow Ohioans to participate in a training program and receive a tech-focused credential at no cost.The program recently expanded, opening the opportunity to all Ohioans, not just those that are low-income, partially employed, or totally unemployed. Training through IMAP is offered both in-person and online, removing transportation barriers for participants.

The Nestlewood Solar Company sent a letter to residents within 1 mile of the solar farm development that includes contact information and a complaint form. A copy is attached for any resident that never received a letter or misplaced their copy.
