Closing Fossyl Drive For Resurfacing
If you live on the South end of Tate Township then you might be one of the many vehicles that cut through the Bethel-Tate school district road – Fossyl Drive – that runs from Bick Elementary, right by Hill Intermediate, and ends at South Street. It also gives access to the walking path, softball, and baseball fields located there. Please be advised that resurfacing of Fossyl Drive is expected to begin on Wednesday, May 30th and expected to be completed by Monday, June 4th.
During this entire time Fossyl Drive will be closed and blocked off. The Bethel-Tate Local Schools appreciates everyones cooperation during this time.
2018 Commencement For Bethel-Tate
The graduating Class of 2018 from Bethel-Tate High School will have their commencement ceremony at Northern Kentucky University’s BB&T Arena on Thursday, May 24th beginning at 7:00 pm with doors opening and music beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets are not required to attend. Parking will cost $5 per vehicle. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
Curbside Recycling Starts In Tate Township
In February, Rumpke presented the trustees with a plan to bring the highly requested curbside recycling to Tate. Beginning June 1, 2018, Rumpke will introduce every-other-week curbside recycling collection to be included with current customer’s trash service for a new monthly rate of $19.25. All township customers that are outside the Village of Bethel have received a flyer to explain the process of adjusting their service or requesting recycling. Your response is required to make a change to your service. You can call Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171 or email them at ClermontCounty@rumpke.com.
In addition to bi-weekly recycle pick-up, Rumpke will also:
- Provide curbside large item pick-up (MUST call Rumpke 24 hours ahead)
- Provide you with 95-gallon recycling cart at no-charge
- Provide senior citizen rate for 65+
- Provide weekly trash pick-up of 6 cans or bags
- Customers have the option of paying $2 per month for 95-gallon TRASH carts

2018 Spring Litter Clean-Up April 21
The 2018 Spring Litter Clean-Up will be held 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, April 21, at various locations across Clermont County and the East Fork Little Miami River Watershed. There will be multiple groups and organizations uniting to clean-up the local area. This year’s event is sponsored by the Clermont County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, the Duke Energy Foundation, the Southern Ohio Association of Realtors, and Lykins Energy Solutions. The event is coordinated by the East Fork Watershed Collaborative and the Valley View Foundation.
State Rep. Green to Hold Office Hours at Bethel Library
COLUMBUS—State Representative Doug Green (R-Mt. Orab) today announced that he will be holding district office hours on Thursday, April 19th from 1:00-3:00pm at the Bethel Branch of the Clermont County Public Library (611 W. Plane St., Bethel, OH 45106).
No appointment is necessary for these office hours and everyone is encouraged to participate.
“I’m looking forward to meeting with my constituents and hearing their thoughts on state-related issues,” said Green. “It’s important that I stay connected to the 66th Ohio House District so I can best represent this area at the Ohio Statehouse.”

2018 Clermont’s Salute To Leaders Award Winners Announced
The Clermont County Chamber of Commerce Committee announced the recipients of the Salute To Leaders Awards for 2018. The Tate Township recipient is Lori Conley from Empower Youth. The awards will be presented on May 1st at a dinner and ceremony at the Oasis in Batavia.
UC Clermont Annual NEXTSTEP Career Fair

District Safety Meeting
A school safety meeting for the Bethel-Tate community and parents will be held on March 12th at the Bethel-Tate High School in the cafeteria from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. The meeting is in conjunction with the Bethel-Tate Fire Department and EMS, the Bethel-Tate PAWs (parent/teacher organization), and the Bethel Police. The object of the meeting is to provide a brief presentation on school safety followed by questions and answers. The safety plan of our community and students is a shared responsibility about which the residents may have questions or just like to have more knowledge. All residents of the Bethel-Tate School District and Parents of BT students are invited to attend.
