A school safety meeting for the Bethel-Tate community and parents will be held on March 12th at the Bethel-Tate High School in the cafeteria from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. The meeting is in conjunction with the Bethel-Tate Fire Department and EMS, the Bethel-Tate PAWs (parent/teacher organization), and the Bethel Police. The object of the meeting is to provide a brief presentation on school safety followed by questions and answers. The safety plan of our community and students is a shared responsibility about which the residents may have questions or just like to have more knowledge. All residents of the Bethel-Tate School District and Parents of BT students are invited to attend.
On 2/21/2018, the Bethel-Tate Fire Department put into service a 2017 McCoy Miller Ambulance. The new ambulance has a 163” patient care compartment that is mounted to a 2017 Ford F-550 4X4 chassis. The new ambulance is replacing a 2005 model.
The squad is also equipped with a new Stryker Powercot and Powerload system that is able to lift patients up to 700 lbs. The department now has two power cots and power load systems which should help alleviate any future back injuries from the lifting of patients. A portion of the cost of the cot and load system is paid for with grant monies received thru the Ohio BWC.
One of the things that the department is super excited to reveal is the addition of the Bethel-Tate Local School District’s “Tiger” insignia to our new ambulance. The BTFD wanted to add a little community pride to our fleet and feels that the best way to do this is to add “HOME OF THE TIGERS”. The department wants to thank the Bethel-Tate Local Schools for their permission to use the logo and their continued support of the Bethel-Tate Fire Department.
Residents of Tate Township are also within Clermont County and are eligible to serve, if interested, on various boards with vacancies that exist. There are currently 3 boards with openings, the Clermont County Convention & Visitors Board, Planning Commission, and Law Library Board.
