Greg Burns, Tate Township Trustee addressed the July meeting attendees, “Our dilemma for keeping the township deputy can only be solved by placing a levy on the ballot in November so that the voters can decide.”
The amounts are not yet certified so the numbers are not exact but 0.6 mils would generate enough to pay for the deputy’s contract and would cost the taxpayers a little over $19 each year for a $100,000 home. Once the numbers are certified and it gets closer to November, residents can go to the auditor’s website and check to see the exact cost for their address.
