We are in the 250th year since the signing of our Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776.  This is a nationwide celebration that every state and small community are joining.

Our Village of Bethel is a designated America 250 Community and  a local committee is planning a church service to open the festivities on 7/10/26 in Burke Park and a day long celebration on 7/11/2026.  There are many contests being planned.  One that involves everyone who lives here is the America 250 Bethel Decorating Contest.  There are several themes to compete in.  It is open to every residence and Business.
