East Fork State Park Road 3 scheduled for one-week closure:

Clermont County  – A resurfacing project on various roads and parking lots in East Fork State Park will get under way this month.

On Monday, August 11, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will begin paving Park Road 3, which is located off Park Road 2 and connects to the Lake Trail trailhead.

The road will be closed for approximately seven days, and as Park Road 3 is a dead-end road, there will be no detour.

The project also includes paving sections of Reisinger Road, between Macedonia Road and the boat ramp at the end of the road, as well as parking lots within the park. A schedule to start work at these other locations has yet to be determined.

Roberts Paving, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $260,635 to pave the roadways, and all work is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall.
