Bethel Down Home Christmas 12/6 & 12/7

Friday and Saturday, December 6th & 7th, 2024, is Bethel’s 22nd annual Down Home Christmas celebration.

On Friday, start with the Christmas Tree Lighting in Burke Park at 6:30pm with songs sung by the Bethel-Tate elementary students. Take a Candlelight Walk to the live Nativity located on the corner of Main & Plane Streets. Children are invited to make a Gingerbread House at Living the Word Church. Events are free.

On Saturday, shop the businesses in town and visit the Bethel Museum, located in the Grant Memorial building, during their extended hours: 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Several businesses in town have contributed to a raffled gift basket that is free to enter.  The raffle will be located in the Bethel Museum and the drawing will be at 4PM.

Santa’s Doggy Parade 11AM:  Register at 10AM in front of Village Hardware.  The entry fee is a can of dog food or leash. Prizes for best dressed, most original costume, and congeniality.

Down Home Christmas Parade 6:30PM: Organized by the Bethel Business Association, local businesses, churches, and other organizations will have floats (and maybe candy!)
