Hello, I am Gary Reed and I have been a Trustee since 2014. I am a Bethel native, born in 1959 and raised here. I have worked hard my entire life to support this community, beginning with working with my father in 1976 at the Southside Services Station, which I purchased in 1990 and which has been in continuous operation ever since, expanding in the early 2000’s to include tool rental and an excavation company. It is due to the good people and loyal customers of Tate Township and the surrounding communities that my business has been able to flourish. It is one of my greatest wishes to give back to my community by supporting local businesses, school, and community activities. Through the years I have sponsored the wrestling and soccer teams, the high school score board, and more.
My daughter Haley was born, raised, and educated in this community as well. Prior to her birth I purchased farmland in this community which I currently farm myself and which I believe gives me insight into the needs of other local farmers. In 2006, I married my wife Kay.
As a Trustee, I feel my 40 years of mechanical, excavating, and farming experience combined with the connections obtained over the years being an active member of this community enable me to understand how best to use my abilities and local resources to achieve what this community needs and wants.I take this position very seriously and want to see this community continue to grow and succeed.
